Employees and Community

VantaCore believes its success is based upon the motivation and performance of all of its employees. With that in mind, it is extremely sensitive to their work environment, health and safety.

For many years we and our employees have recognized the responsibilities to our local communities.

Our operating companies host visits by local primary and secondary schools and other members of the community. Our facilities are also regular venues for student groups studying geology, chemistry and environmental science from nearby universities.

In addition, we have contributed time, manpower, financial assistance and where possible, used our own high quality products for projects in the local community. Recipients have ranged from local high schools and little league baseball teams to local rails-to-trails programs.

In March, 2013, we were awarded the 2012 NSSGA Sterling Safety Gold Award by the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (“NSSGA”) in recognition of our safe operations. The Sterling Safety Award recognizes those NSSGA member companies that achieve the lowest total injury incidence rate for the previous calendar year in their size category.
